Hey, I'm Phillip
Polarion Expert, AI & Full-Stack Developer
8 years of Polarion, from Siemens enterprise to startup. I bridge the gap between requirements management and technical execution. I do not just consult. I build. And I build fast.
I work in two modes
→ Dev
Custom Polarion extensions from spec to production. Java, REST, Velocity, workflows, CI/CD with automated release documentation. Powered by AI toolchains for faster delivery without cutting corners.
→ Enablement
If your team has Siemens Polarion X or AI tools and isn't getting ROI from them, I run hands-on assessments and coaching sprints that change that.
I've spent eight years with Polarion, growing from building the first custom extensions to running AI-automated delivery pipelines, with deep roots in medical device projects and requirements engineering. I take problems through to working software: I find out what the client actually needs, define the right approach, and build it clean, tested and documented. I could deliver the same quality without AI, but it would take two to three times longer. With AI I run parallel workstreams, hold higher test coverage and documentation quality, and keep full oversight of where a project stands and where it's headed.
Work Experience
Polarion Expert & AI Developer
01/2026 – PresentSelf-Employed · Germany (remote)
I build and ship custom Polarion extensions for clients including avasis Solutions, taking each one from spec to production.
- Custom extensions & integrations: Java extensions, REST integrations, Velocity templates and workflow scripts, delivered spec to production.
- CI/CD & release automation: Pipelines with quality gates and automated release documentation that cut manual overhead for clients.
- Built avaCopilot from scratch: an AI copilot inside Polarion that drafts documentation, flags review issues and untangles requirements in real time.
- AI enablement: Coaching development teams on practical AI adoption in Polarion, publishing what I learn on polarion.boesger.com.

Certifications & Courses
Collaboration should be straightforward, reliable and built on trust. Here's what you can expect when we work together.
01 · Availability. I work up to 30 hours per week. That scope lets me go deep and deliver real results, without spreading thin across too many parallel commitments.
02 · Remote-First by Design. I work remotely from wherever I am in the world. Whenever on-site presence makes sense — workshops or kickoffs — we make it happen.
03 · Always Reachable. Communication and coordination are always possible. Regular syncs, async updates, structured handoffs — whatever rhythm works for your team.
04 · Adaptable by Nature. Requirements shift and priorities change — that's normal. I don't need everything defined upfront; as long as we communicate openly, we figure things out together.
My Values
I prefer honest conversations over polished status updates. If something's off, I'll say so. If I need more context, I'll ask. I'd rather raise a concern early than silently push through something that doesn't feel right.
Hi, I'm Phillip, originally from Germany. I live out of a backpack and work from wherever I want. As a digital nomad, my office is wherever there's a decent WiFi connection, and my gym is whatever box or trail I find nearby. I've spent most of my time exploring Europe and Southeast Asia, but there's still a huge chunk of the world I haven't seen yet. That's exactly what keeps me going.
One backpack. That's it.
Everything I own fits in a single backpack, and I genuinely don't miss a thing. Travelling light isn't a sacrifice, it's a superpower. It means I can move fast, stay flexible and say yes to opportunities without thinking twice.
Exploring the world
Europe and Southeast Asia have been my main territory — the islands of Thailand, the streets of Vietnam, mountain villages in the Alps, Mediterranean beach towns. Still on the list: South America, Japan, East Africa. It keeps growing.
Sport & movement
Staying active is non-negotiable. My anchors are CrossFit and running, and I pick up whatever a place offers — surfing (very much a beginner), climbing, paddleboarding, hiking. Movement is how I reset and connect with a place.
Food first
Finding the best local spots is a big part of how I experience a place. A street-food stall in Bangkok, a family trattoria in Naples, a Sunday market with zero tourists — I'll always pick the longest queue of locals.
Photography
I enjoy photography as a way to slow down and notice things. Nothing too serious, just capturing what catches my eye. Some shots live at photography.boesger.com.
